Born into a family with a tradition of art, his father is a talented musician and singer. His uncles in the family are also good guitar players. From a young age, he was exposed to the sound of the guitar every day, from family parties. At the age of 12, Toca was sent to learn guitar for the first time at a music center in the city. With his passion for music, Toca researched his own curriculum and learning methods through videos on Youtube and Google at that time. After a period of self-study, he began to be able to play solo guitar songs without any guidance.
Joining music clubs and weekly activities. By 2013, Toca had his own band and successfully performed his first show in March 2013. His first career was associated with performances around tea rooms and coffee shops every night with pop and rock songs.
In 2016, Toca began his studies at the College of Culture and Arts in Can Tho, majoring in Western musical instrument performance, which is classical guitar. He completed the program in 3.5 years and graduated with honors in July 2019.
At the same time as his music career, Toca started his career as a music teacher of guitar and piano and taught in many places in Vietnam. Starting from 2015 with fingerstyle guitar until 2019 he became a piano teacher.
Throughout his musical journey, up to now, Toca has participated in many professional music festival performances and won awards. Encouragement prize for Saigon international festival & competition 2017, fifth prize for Saigon international festival & competition 2018, first prize for Yamaha Electric guitar jam online competition 2023.
Toca has a diverse and distinctive music style, from classical music, rock to jazz and most recently fusion music.
In addition to being an instrumentalist, in 2022 Toca began his journey as a composer with many compositions in many different styles. From pop, lofi or rock to film music and orchestra.
In 2024, Toca moved to Finland to choose this place as the place to start his new musical career.
